Shari Kitchen is a retired school superintendent whose interests range from playing the accordion, to beauty pageants; from training Coco to be a therapy dog, to writing children’s stories. With a doctorate degree in education and a major in English literature, Shari has had educational articles and poetry published. She is now writing children’s literature focusing on the loving relationship between grandparents, grandchildren and their pets. Besides the literary field, Shari enjoys motivational speaking, writing poems for people she knows and loves and donating time and resources to her favorite charitable organizations. Shari also works fulltime with her husband, Bill, on the family’s 5000 acre potato farm.
